Your 2010-2011 NCAA Rule Book has Lightning Guidelines
at the back of the book on page 97.

Read the Guidelines, basically a 30 minute period of no lightning is required before the match is resumed. This applies to all levels of NCAA play.

These are similar to USSF Guidelines which apply to Junior College matches. Err on the side of safety.

Taking the annual NCAA Rules Refresher Test is a requirement. It is taken on-line. Use the link below. A sample test is located under Referee/Forms.

Referee having problems being able to take the NCAA Rules refresher test after you have gone through the registration process, please call the support line for assistance. The support number for ArbiterSports is 801-576-9436.

The deadline for taking the test has been extended to September 6, 2011.

Rules for Community Colleges enacted 2009

CCCAA playing rules for soccer regular conference games.

4.2.8 SOCCER
A. All conference competition contests shall be played under current Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) laws with the following modifications:

1. Unlimited substitutions are permitted and shall be made only during the following: kickoffs, goal kicks, your own throw-ins, your own corner kicks, cautions (yellow cards), injuries, or any time the other team substitutes.
2. An unlimited number of players are permitted on the team roster. For soccer, all disqualifications (including those not covered under Bylaw 4) are subject to a one (1)-game suspension.
3. Fields must be a minimum width of 70 yards and a minimum length of 110 yards for postconference competition. Maximum dimensions of the soccer field are 80 yards by 120 yards.
4. A game shall include two (2) 45-minute halves.
5 Once an official halts play due to an injury, the attending medical personnel will assume authority regarding the disposition of the injured player.
6. Referees shall show yellow and red cards issued to coaches for misconduct.
7. The center official is required to notify both coaches as to the amount of stoppage time added for both halves.

There is No Overtime for regular season games. More
